Сегодня мы изучим правило произношения окончания -ed у глаголов прошедшего времени.
Как мы помним, в простом прошедшем времени ко всем правильным глаголам прибавляется окончание -ed например: work - worked.
У произношения окончания -ed есть интересная особенность.
Оно может произноситься тремя способами: [ id ], [ t ] или [ d ]. Разберемся с данной особенностью:
Обратите внимание, что произношение окончания -ed зависит от звука, предшествующего ему, а не от буквы.
Например слово like оканчивается на букву e, но звук при этом - [ k ].
Фонетика
Звук [ ʃ ] и [ ʒ ].
На письме звук [ ʃ ] передается буквосочетанием sh:
ship, shop, fish; и звучит в буквосочетаниях:
- tion vacation[və'keɪʃ(ə)n] - каникулы;
- sian Russian['rʌʃ(ə)n] - русский.
Звук [ ʒ ] звучит в буквосочетаниях:
- sion decision[di'siʒn] - решение;
- sure pleasure['pleʒə] - удовольствие;
- sual usual[ju:ʒuəl] - обычный;
- sia Asia - ['eiʒə] - Азия;
- age garage[gæ'ra:ʒ] - гараж.
